Fountain Pen Making update 10

I promise I will make this short, or I will at least try to. The main thing I want to say is that I am open for business and accepting commissions on making custom pens and I am willing to work with people to construct a pen that they will be proud to own.

Anyway, on with the usual update. As you can see in the main image I managed to fit a clip to a pen, my mothers pen to be exact. I also got a hold of some #6 nibs and sections, they fit my pens much better than the 5’s. I put one on my daughters pen and it looks much better. There was only one almost hiccup where I almost broke the cap when I was widening the hole in it to accept the thicker section and nib. It now looks super translucent.

So the big news this week is that I made a sale! Which is what has given me the confidence to post the initial paragraph in this post. Working with someone to make a pen they want has been fantastic.

Now I have some questions, I want to increase my skills and I think the next step is fitting embellishments to the barrel and cap. Metal rings, engraving etc. Where would I get supplies like custom diameter o rings and other such things for them though? My searching has garnered 0 success. Well, that’s all for this week, I tried to make it short.
