First of all I need to ask you. Please, please, please take a look at the charity auction over on [newton pens](https://newtonpens.com/auctions/). All of the money goes to help kids get a good education, I make nothing from this but I think it is a fantastic cause. There is only a few days left of the auction. All I ask is that you take a look and hopefully help raise some money for the kids. On with the usual update now.

So, the covering image is my current carry around pens. Thought I would share here rather than making 2 posts.

Polyester, oh Polyester, my nemesis, the brittle horrible material that is polyester. Since I started this journey in making pens and it has stumped me whenever I have used it. However I have progressed and I thought I would give it another go. So next week that is my plan, I am starting with [this](https://i.imgur.com/nqMuKhR.jpg) so let’s see what I end up with. With that in mind, what would people like to see me make out of it? If you don’t tell me what I should make I will see what I can do. Go wild people, challenge me.

I am trying to make a minimum of 1 pen a week now and I intend on taking said pens along to the monthly London meetup if I ever get the chance to go. With a young family though I need to check with my wife when I can go, so it won’t be every month, family comes first. I made my wife a pen, another one, I know, but it was in her favourite colour. [Here it is](https://i.imgur.com/JrGMYDI.jpg), what do you think? I am very proud of this one. When I did this one I timed how long it took me, came out at 3 Hours and 45 minutes.
