* Pen show
Just a brief one today and it will mostly about the pen show. It went well. So far things are going in an upward curve with our sales at each show increasing, this is good in my book.
It all started the night before where I met up with Derek from [Stonecott fine writing](https://stonecottfinewritingsupplies.com). He is also my neighbour at the pen show for two shows running and has a very distinctive pink mohawk. We went out for dinner, had a play with some pens and talked nonsense while we met up with others. After our meal we stalked through the dark streets of London in search of fellow pen people finally finding a bunch in a pub in the back streets of Hammersmith. We kind of gatecrashed the FPUK facebook group meetup in the pub, we are both members so I guess it wasn’t really gatecrashing, anyway you can find them [here](https://www.facebook.com/groups/fountainpensuk) if interested. We ended up going to bed around midnight, that’s me and my wife, Derek was in a different room.
The morning of the show we awoke at a bright morning at 6am. Quick shower and then it was down for breakfast for 7 after dumping the cases off in the hall. A hearty breakfast later, I had seconds, we were in the hall setting up. What we ended up with you can see in the Photo (there was a video but I am having trouble uploading it). We had time to have a look around and say hello to people like Vince from [Turners workshop](https://www2.theturnersworkshop.co.uk) of whom I got some more materials from, John Twiss of [Twiss Pens](http://www.handmadefountainpens.co.uk), two of the organisers. I clocked some things I wanted to get and set myself a budget, I saw an Aurora Pen that I [wanted](https://www.stilografica.it/products/aurora-pens/aurora-100th-anniversay-limited-edition-red-6782.htm) bit out of my price range though.
The place I ended up spending the most money was at the [Scrittura Elegante](https://www.scrittura-elegante.nl/en/) which was just across the walk way from me and had all of the Laban mythology inks. I went home with a lot of ink.
So, yeah the pen show was great we had a lot of fun, I went home with some fantastic pens, as did my wife. We got my youngest daughter (4), her first pen with a nib, [a Parker Vector](https://i.imgur.com/LbxWpAG.jpg).
Apologies for the lack of photos from the show, however Penultimate Dave has uploaded all his show Videos now. They can be found [Here](https://www.youtube.com/c/PenultimateDave).
Anways take care and stay safe.
